Properties

Use the Properties sub-type to trace where a layer came from and how it was produced—so you can validate provenance, audit changes, and resolve support issues quickly.

When it appears: Contextual Details Panel → Properties tab → Properties (sub-property)

Availability: This sub-property appears for the following raster sub-types:

  • Panchromatic
  • Multispectral
  • Hyperspectral
  • SAR

What you can do

  • Verify acquisition provenance for vendor-supplied layers.
  • Trace processing provenance for platform-processed layers (e.g., GRD) and jump to the originating workspace.
  • Copy IDs for support/audit (item, order, vendor, workspace) and use them in search, API calls, or tickets.

Troubleshooting

  • No properties shown

    • The layer may not expose vendor or processing metadata. Check Metadata and Relations tabs.
  • workspaceIds present but not accessible

    • You may lack permissions for that workspace. Ask the workspace owner or an admin to grant access.
  • Vendor IDs don’t match records

    • Confirm the correct environment (prod vs staging). Cross-check with finance/procurement.
